About us
More than an event – a community built around dogs
Groom Wars began with a simple goal – to create a space where New Zealand’s grooming and pet care communities could come together, learn from one another, and celebrate their shared love of dogs.
What started as a single event has grown into a highly anticipated weekend experience that draws visitors and participants from across New Zealand and Australia. It’s become a place where industry professionals meet, where ideas are exchanged, and where dog lovers of all kinds come to connect.
Our event features a full programme of competitions, interactive exhibits, training sessions, and a marketplace full of products and services for dogs and the people who care for them.
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue growing this community. We’re especially proud to welcome international grooming talent to Aotearoa, offering local audiences the chance to learn from some of the best in the business.
At its heart, Groom Wars is about more than grooming. It’s about connection, creativity, and a shared commitment to the wellbeing of our four-legged companions.
